October Books Recap

Hello! Today I'm coming at ya with a review of the books I read in October. I have always loved to read and this year I made it a priority to take more time to read just for fun!

I used read a ton growing up, but as I went through high school and college, reading became a task for classes and wasn't something I did in my free time. Reading has always been one of my go-to's while traveling (plane rides, specifically!) but that was mostly the only time I read in the last few years. Well, since there isn't much traveling this year, I wanted to get back into some hobbies, and reading was one! It has also become a really nice way for me to destress this year (and not look at a screen which sometimes tires my eyes). Which, I think we all could use a little more destressing this year, lol. Here's what I read in October.

Party Of Two by Jasmine Guillory.

I thought this book was sweet! It was about a politician and a lawyer in California who hit it off, even though its not "convenient". The characters were realistic and developed nicely throughout the story, which was fun and mostly light-hearted.

The Heir Affair by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan.

This is the sequel to The Royal We, which I read over the summer (in two days!). I always forget how nice it is to read sequels - it feels like you are reconnecting with old friends, and the story flows in such a different way when you aren't getting introduced to all new characters right away. This book sucked me in just as much the first!

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle.

This was a good book to read in one or two sittings. Fair warning, I found it to be pretty sad. But I thought the premise was so interesting - a corporate lawyer in NYC has a premonition of her life five years in the future and it is totally different than what she has planned.

What have you been reading?? Let me know in the comments - I am always looking for suggestions!
