What is your fave thing to make?

Depends on the mood, for sure! I equally love the detail-oriented, direction-following, sugary deliciousness of baking as much as the cook-with-your-senses, add-as-much-garlic-as-you-feel, free form of cooking. Pasta, cookies, cinnamon rolls, stir fry, enchiladas, banana bread. Love it all!


What cookbooks do you recommend? 

One of my favorite things to do is to *rent* a cookbook from the library before you buy it. I live in a one-bedroom apartment and have somewhat limited space, so I hate to buy something I won't truly use! If you rent the book first, you can try it for a few weeks before deciding if there are recipes you'll want to go back to again and again in it and if the book is worthy of your shelf space. 

Some of my favorite cookbooks are Pretty Simple Cooking, Love Real Food, and Everyday Dinner! But there are sooo many good ones out there depending on what you like to make/eat! So test a few out :)


Are you vegetarian?

Labels are so old-fashioned, right? Lol. I've been primarily plant-based since high school, almost 10 years! We also eat fish and dairy products in my house, but sometimes I cook/prepare/eat vegan food! Living in Wisconsin, we have a lot of delicious, local dairy products to enjoy! So really just depends on the day. 

What is your favorite blog?

I can't pick just one! But a few faves are - HowSweetEats, ACoupleCooks, HalfBakedHarvest, ErinLivesWhole, JoytheBaker....too many to name! Some I've found recently, and some I've been following since high school. Like, ten years. What!
