April 9-10, 2022
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you are having some wonderful, warm weather and are getting to enjoy it. I am loving the sunshine and even got to grill out for the first time this season last night! Loving it so much, and trying to take it all in before the weather turns cold and rainy again tomorrow. We had a good weekend!
Friday night we saw Soccer Mommy at Turner Hall. It was so fun!
Saturday we did lots of spring cleaning around here. I was cleaning some dust out of the vacuum and unfortunately broke a piece on the roller head, so I had to order a new part. I went to Aldi in the afternoon and got lots of groceries! Sunday we had a lovely day. I started the day making some pumpkin muffins. Not at all seasonal, but yum! Then we took Millie to one of our favorite dog parks in the morning. We thought it would be a little muddy, and in fact it was a lot muddy. So Millie got a bath when we got home!
We had some lunch and then decided to take a bike ride in the afternoon since the weather was so beautiful! We rode up a trail and then down by the lake, stopping at Colectivo for a drink (hot chocolate since the lakefront was breezy!). It was busy with lots of folks enjoying a really nice spring day.
We got home and I did some cleaning on the grill to get it ready for the season. I made salad pizza for dinner, testing out a new pizza dough recipe. It was great! Not part of the weekend, but on Monday I grilled for the first time this year, hooray!! I'm sooo looking forward to getting back into that this year. I ordered a grill basket and used it for the first time yesterday and I loved it for vegetables. So easy and nice to not have to flip everything individually. I even got one that was dishwasher safe!
