Weekend Review - Vol. 14

April 2-3. 2022

Hey hey! How are ya? How's your week going? We are chugging along here, and I am really hoping to get some clear weather this week! I know we are soo close to warmer weather and I'm antsy for it to arrive. We had a good, calm weekend. On Friday night I made some easy bagel egg sandwiches for dinner. I spent the evening reading Evanna Lynch's memoir, which is really interesting and well-written.

Saturday I made some cinnamon rolls I had previously frozen, and they did not turn out well. Lol. Oh well! Then we went to Costco. It was very busy and I felt brave! But we got gas for $3.70 a gallon which was great. We were sure to stop at the food court to get some pizza before we left. On our way home we stopped at the library and I picked up a few new cookbooks (The Weekday Vegetarians and The Comfortable Kitchen), inspired by Ashley Spivey. I ended up making the butternut squash and black bean tacos from Weekday Vegetarian for dinner Saturday night, which were really tasty and pretty easy. Saturday night we played some Mario! We are almost done with the game.

Sunday morning Dan took Millie for a little run! She liked it, and it totally wiped her out, lol. I got to sleep in while they were out running :) I made a cherry smoothie for breakfast and then we did some spring cleaning. We reorganized and cleaned all of our kitchen cabinets, which was a big job. But it felt great to go through them and declutter and clean. Sunday afternoon I made some carrot walnut bread from Minimalist Baker while watching the new season of Bridgerton! I also made some lasagna rolls for dinner. Yum!

Sunday evening we watched Just Like Heaven. It was cute! All the classic marks of a late 90's early 00's romcom. How was your weekend?
