Weekend Review - Vol. 19

 May 7-8, 2022

Hi there! How was your weekend? We had a really nice one. It was my birthday weekend! Friday night we went to see the new Doctor Strange movie. I loved it! It was very dramatic.

Saturday was a pretty regular, but good day. We did some cleaning, worked out, ran over to the library, and put some netting up on our balcony. Then I took Millie for a long walk. I grilled and we had dinner outside. It was a lovely meal and a lovely night! We watched Serendipity (the movie) and prepped some cinnamon rolls for the next morning.

Sunday morning we woke up and baked the cinnamon rolls. They were so good!! These are my favorite. The recipe is from Shauna Sever's Midwest Made. They are the best.

Then we drove up to Lion's Den Gorge and took a little hike! It was actually pretty busy on the trail. Lots of moms and kids out for Mother's Day, which was sweet to see. The cliff view was beautiful.

Dan got me some beautiful flowers for my birthday. So gorgeous!

We relaxed in the afternoon, and then we headed out to dinner at Sorella. It was excellent! We had the kale caesar, the cacio e pepe artichokes, and this asparagus mushroom pizza. The kale salad was amazing.

We also got the rigatoni alla vodka. The crispy crunchy breadcrumbs on top were divine.

And we ended on this cannoli filled with cherries and chocolate chips. Literally so so so good.

Sorry for so many pictures but this meal was so freaking delicious so I had to share! Cheers to a new year. Thanks for following along on this little blog of mine!
