Hello and happy Monday! How was your weekend? What did you do?
On Friday we played Among Us (virtually) with some friends. It was so fun! I have never played before but it was really easy to pick up and a great way to play a game with lots of people (you can have up to 10 players, and the more the better!). We will definitely do that again!
Saturday, we took care of some chores. I ran some secret Christmas errands in the area, and Dan watched the Illinois football game (happy homecoming!). They did not win, no surprise there. Lol. On Saturday night, we saw the lights display at Boerner Botanical Gardens! We visited this area a few weeks (the Whitnall Park area of the grounds), so we were excited to come back and see the lights.
Um, this display was awesome!! It was very well organized and the lights were beautiful! It was about a 25-minute drive through and you went one-way along roads throughout the park. Everyone turned off their headlights so you could see. We listened to some Christmas music and drank some homemade hot chocolate (I used this recipe and it was soooo good!). It was such a lovely evening!
On Sunday the weather turned a little bit in the morning, and was a mix of rain/snow. We had been planning to go hike, but decided to stay closer to home. We did some laundry and relaxed! And I made this fried rice.....yum! We did end up taking a walk near our apartment. It was chilly but clear.
