Hi! How are you? Here's a little peek into what we did two weekends ago!
Saturday morning we met some friends in Chicago. We had lunch at Pick Me Up Cafe. It was so good! We got the hummus to share, and I ordered the huevos rancheros. Everything was excellent! And the restaurant was so cute.
Then we spent some time hanging out, and got to meet our friends' kitties! They were ridiculously cute and we loved playing with them.
Saturday night we met Dan's brother and sister-in-law for dinner! We went to Kale My Name, another great plant-based spot. It is also somehow affiliated with Tabitha Brown (not sure if she is the owner or developed recipes for them or exactly what the connection is, lol). Dan and I ordered the fried avocado tacos and a New Zealand smoothies. The food was awesome!!
Then we headed to United Center where we saw the Bulls win against the Oklahoma City Thunder! We had so much fun at the game. Dan was excited to cheer on his favorite team.
We headed back to Milwaukee on Sunday morning. We did a big grocery shop and picked up some sumo citrus (woo woo!!). These oranges are ridiculously expensive but so good. They are extra sweet and easy to peel. I took Millie for a nice long walk by the lake.
We were so glad to be home. What did you do this weekend?
