December Favorites

Hey hey! We made it through December. Phewwww. It was a busy one! On New Year's Eve, we were looking back on our year and kind of had a hard time remembering some things that we did/liked (like fave TV shows, restaurants, etc.) of the year. Soooo to try to combat that this year, I want to record some of our favorites from the month!

EATING

- Burritos. No idea how this started but I just really wanted to make a burrito one day and haven't stopped. My fave combo so far is scrambled eggs (even weirder for me) + sweet potatoes + green salsa.

- Hot chocolate. Our fave seasonal drink! Planning to continue this into the upcoming cold, wintery months.

- Coffee with salted caramel sauce. A little spoonful in your coffee with some milk or half n half and its like a caramel latte!

- Christmas cookies (of course!). The chocolate orange ones are my favorite.

- Thai-namite. We ate here twice in December, lol. I love the pad see ew and Dan's favorite is the ginger heat. The sushi is also excellent!

- Honey Pie. We went here for breakfast a few weeks ago and then ended up getting Christmas desserts from here. Delicious!! The salted caramel pie was like a cheesecake and omg, so good.

READING

- Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber. This was cheesy and corny and perfect to read over my holiday break. Like a Hallmark movie but in book form. Not a big reading month, but that's okay!

WATCHING

I took a break from watching Survivor to go through some other shows that have been on my list for a while! I was excited to get through some shows during my holiday break. And we saw lots of good movies this month!

- Emily in Paris (season 2). Both strange and cute! Easy to digest, which was exactly what I was looking for, lol.

- Sex Lives of College Girls. Okay, I loved this!! I'm really excited for the next season.

- Selling Sunset (season 4). Mixed feelings on this season, but I can't stop watching and am very interested to see the Chrishelle/Jason relationship in the next season. Another show that feel relatively light and easy to consume, which, is sometimes exactly what you need.

- Never Have I Ever (season 2). This was alright! No major comments lol.

- Survivor (season 25). This season was great! Loved getting to see Malcolm and Denise.

- Love Life (season 2). I liked this! I liked it evenly to the first season.

- Single All the Way. Honestly p cute! Watched while I was baking Christmas cookies and was perfect for giving me Christmas-y vibes.

- Princess Switch 3. Okay, this was actually pretty cute?

- Spider-Man: No Way Home. Looooooved!! Dan and I both were into this. We watched the other Tom Holland Spider-Man movies this month to prep (I hadn't seen them before) and I think this was my favorite one so far.

- Doctor Strange. We watched this on NYE and really enjoyed it! I'm excited to see the new one that's coming out this year.

- West Side Story. Tears on tears. But I loved it! The dancing, the singing, the acting, the costumes. It really felt like a big production which I loooove.

- Belfast. This surprised me but I enjoyed it! The young actor was amazing, and overall I thought it was really well done.

- Formula 1: Drive to Survive. I had no interesting in racing (and still don't, really) but this show was great. Good amounts of drama balanced with plenty of racing.

PLAYING

- New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. We started playing this over our holiday break and it is so dang fun. We play as Toad and Toadette because they are the best!

WEARING

- Heated blanket from Christmas. This is the one I got for Christmas (thanks, mom!). For the winter months, a new must.

- Soma pajamas! I got some new pajamas when they were having their Black Friday sale. The comfiest!

- My heavy gray winter coat from Eddie Bauer. Nothing new (I got this on major sale a few years ago), but when it gets so cold and snowy ever year, I'm glad to have something warm & waterproof to wear!
