Happy Tuesday! We had kind of a catch up weekend after being gone most of last week.
On Friday I went to Aldi! It was very exciting. I got these strawberries that are supposed to taste like pineapple! They mostly just taste like strawberries, but they are nice to look at. After I got home, I was reading a book a fell asleep on the couch at like 9:30 lol.
Saturday morning Millie and I walked through the park in some light snow. She loved it! It was slightly warmer which was nice.
Saturday afternoon we ran some errands locally. We stopped at Breadsmith and picked up a few treats. We got this pecan scone that was sooooo good. Then I picked up a few more things from a new-to-me Metro Market. I love going to new grocery stores! Even if its in a chain I've been to before, every store is a little different.
Saturday evening I made dinner and then we Zoomed with my family for my nephew's birthday. We watched Encanto, too! I saw it in theatres a few weeks ago and loved it, but Dan hasn't seen it before. He was a fan but did point out a plot hole or two, lol.
On Sunday I got up and made those breakfast croissant sandwiches. They were yum!! I scrambled some eggs, melted a little cheese on top, warmed up a veggie sausage patty, and layered some lettuce in there, too. I toasted the croissant and Dan added hot sauce to his. Then we took Millie to the dog park! She was very excited about the snow and did a lot of running around.
When we got home we gave Millie a bath, which she was not thrilled about but she did a good job. I made this salad for lunch that I thought of while I was laying in bed Saturday night, lol. Anyone else get meal ideas when they're trying to fall asleep? Then we did some regular Sunday chore stuff. I made some black bean burgers for dinner, and that was pretty much all we did! How was your weekend?
