Weekend Review - Vol. 8

2.20-2.21

Hi! How are ya?! We had a really fun weekend!

On Saturday, my dad stopped by to visit!! It was so exciting to see him. He was passing by, so he stopped to visit our apartment and we caught up for a little while. He hasn't been inside since we moved in so we were glad to show him around! He even brought us a few treats....(see below!)

Saturday afternoon we took a walk around our neighborhood. It is slowly but surely starting to warm up. And the sun is really truly starting to come out! So it feels nice to enjoy the sunshine. We walked down by the lake and saw lots of other people enjoying the fresh air and above freezing temperatures. We walked a little in Lakeshore State Park and saw some ice fishing tents!

We celebrated my sister's birthday on Saturday night with some Disney trivia. Our family has now reached a full year of Zoom birthdays! Dan and I proudly placed second, although I think I carried the team (lol). It was so fun to see my whole family! And to celebrate Katie. Happy birthday!

On Sunday, we did our usual chores and life stuff - work outs, laundry, cleaning. We've also been playing the new/old Super Mario 3D World/Bowser's Fury for the Nintendo Switch and LOVING it. It's such a fun game! On Sunday afternoon, the weather was even nice enough for Dan to take his first run outside this year!

We had some pizza for dinner! But not just any pizza. It was Poco Pizza! This is a place in the Fon Du Lac area that sells "farm to freezer" pizzas, made with super fresh ingredients and a thin, crispy crust. They have some really unique flavors, and they often sell out! They sell some other food and treats, sourced locally of course. My dad picked up a few pizzas for us and we were very excited to enjoy them for dinner. We got the margherita and the white mushroom pizza. Amazing!! My family loves to get their pizzas when we are at the lake in the summer, so it definitely brings back fond memories! We also had a few treats to sample - chocolate croissants and a Reese's brownie. Thanks, Dad!

And then, we had our standing game night with a group of friends. This is always one of the best parts of our weekend!! :) What did you do this weekend?
