Weekend Review - Vol. 17

 April 23-24, 2022

Hello hello! How are you? How was your weekend? Dan was out of town for part of the weekend so we had a little girls' weekend over here :) Friday night I did a little baking. I made these granola scones and this dough for these chocolate chip cookies. I finished the last episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and then started the Jungle Cruise movie. After walking Millie I got too tired to finish the movie lol so I went to bed.

Saturday morning we woke up and I took Millie out for a walk. The weather was so nice! Bright, sunny, and relatively warm. I watched some RHSLC reunion show and had a granola scone for breakfast. I did some stuff around the house, and then Millie and I took a nice long walk to Lakeshore State Park around noon.

The weather was gorgeous! Sunny and clear skies. We loved our walk! It was so busy out, lots of people walking, biking, running, with dogs and kids and strollers. Millie did so good! She was pooped by the time we got home.

When we got back I did a little cleaning and then spent some time reading on the balcony! I finished up The Guncle by Steven Rowley. It was so cute, and also a little heart-breaking in the best way. Millie sat with me on the bench lol.

I made this grilled vegetable orzo salad for dinner, using asparagus, zucchini, onion, and eggplant. I made it once last year and I see it becoming more regular in the rotation this year, especially now that I have a grill basket! So good.

I watched the new Cheaper by the Dozen on Disney+. It was meh, but I do like Gabrielle Union. I baked those cookies I made the night before, which were delicious!

Sunday morning Millie and I woke up and took a little walk. I worked out in our building's gym and then made this English muffin breakfast sandwich which was so. good! I did some work on my computer while watching the newest season of Selling Sunset. Dan came home and we caught up. We had a relaxing day after that! And I finished Selling Sunset, lol. I made some tomatillo enchiladas for dinner from The Weekday Vegetarians.

And then we had these ice cream cookies sandwiches for dessert! Yum.
